The 2023 SCMA Emerging Artist Of The Year, Adam Johnson, burst onto the music scene in 2021 when the Saskatchewan Country artist’s debut single, “Come On Let’s Go,” became the second most downloaded song on Canadian Country Radio, the day of its release. It went on to see radio play across Canada and reached #1 on the Canadian Indie Country Countdown.

Since this time, Adam’s career has continued to grow. First, his song “Last Call At The Bar” spent several weeks in the top ten among Saskatchewan artists on Canadian Country Radio. Next, his Song “Craven” saw more radio play and received attention from the Regina Leader-Post, Country Thunder Music Festival, and Storme Warren.

All this led to SCMA nominations for Male Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, and the award for Emerging Artist of the Year. In 2023, Adam also saw his single “Drinking With The Boys” reach number seventy-nine on Canadian Country Radio.
