From an early age, Darryl Anderson,realized how enjoyable music truly is by watching his mom dancing around their home to Elvis and always finding time to partake in his family's singalongs, Whether around a fire or in the living room. Darryl discovered singing at a later age in 2016 and started taking it seriously in 2019. He then spent the next couple years learning and controlling his singing Darryl started sharing his music through a series called ‘Kitchen Sessions’, which continued to grow in popularity on social media. He now performs lives on the popular app Tiktok and Facebook. His authentic and energetic character are what make his performances something genuinely unique.
It’s easy to spot Darryl’s down to earth musical influence anywhere.Darryl was the lead vocalist/rhythm guitar player for the band Rivers Edge but now focuses on his solo career. Being a high energy vocalist, with a love for singing the classics and always being ready to perform any country favourite, it is a guarantee that you will be singing and dancing alongside him at any show.
Darryl has been in final ballot for the Sask Country Music Awards In four categories including male vocalist of the year. As of today 12/12/22 is #1 on the Indigenous Music Charts. Winner of Ponoka Stampede singing contest. Darryl has been on Telemiracle 3 times and has raised over $30,000 for Telemiracle foundation. Also has recently hit Number 1 on the Indigenous Music Countdown with his song Shots At The Bar.
Darryl continues to work hard and expand his career. Don’t be surprised when you see these accomplishments grow. Originally from the small community of Big River, Darryl now calls Saskatoon home.
